Chronic venous disorder is a long term condition that affect the veins of the legs. The veins carry blood back towards the heart, with the help of valves in the veins. The valves ensure the blood flows in one direction only- towards the heart.

When the veins or valves are damaged, blood will pool in the legs. This increases the pressure in the veins. This causes symptoms such as:

  • Swelling
  • Dry or weeping eczema
  • Feeling of heaviness in the legs
  • Pain or cramps in the calves
  • Visible veins
  • Venous leg ulcer
  • Skin discolorations

The increased pressure in the veins can be caused by:

  • a clot inside a vein
  • leg injury or surgery
  • excess weight
  • standing or sitting for long period of time

A feeling of discomfort in your legs may be a sign of an underlying venous disorder. These symptoms include tired and achy legs. You may experience them especially when sitting or standing for prolonged hours. Research suggests that compression stockings can help to reduce swelling1,2.EVIN Medical Graduated Compression Stockings can help to alleviate these symptoms, giving you healthy legs.
